Aberdeen Women’s Centre – Sierra Leone
On the edges of a slum area of Aberdeen is a remarkable facility called the Aberdeen Women’s Centre (AWC). The running of AWC was taken over by Dame Ann Gloag, the is centre was taken over in 2008 and offers free medical care to women and children, up to the age of 15.

Signing the Book of Condolance for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
On the 12th September, Sam Mattock, the Secretary at the Embassy of the Order of Malta to Kenya formally signed the Book of Condolance for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, on behalf of HE Wilhelm von Trott zu Solz the Orders Ambassador to Kenya, at the Residence of HE Jane Marriott the British High Commisioner to Kenya.

Order of St. John’s Chancellor’s visit to Nairobi

Tuberculosis in Kenya
In Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, over 60% of the people live in informal settlement. Most of the residents who live here are day laborers with low, irregular incomes. They usually live in overcrowded and poorly ventilated accommodation. Here, diseases such as tuberculosis are easy to spread from one person to the next through droplet infection.

Marsabit mask donation
During the Omicron wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in Kenya, remote counties such as Marsabit were especially heavily hit due to generally low vaccination availability and misinformation.
