The Spiritan Fathers help remote communities connect with Christianity through the patient and respectful provision of healthcare and education, and in so doing provide a path to knowledge and faith. The Companions of Kenya raised over £90,000 to construct and equip the clinic.

Embassy of the Order to Kenya Facilitates Import of Urgently Needed Medical Equipment for a Remote Hospital in Kisii County

The Tabaka Mission Hospital was built some forty years ago initially as a child birth centre, run by the Camillian order. It then gradually expanded to offer other health care services including a nurse training unit. It is located in north-western Kenya, in Kisii county, one of the most economically disadvantaged areas in the country, with a high HIV prevalence rate.
