This year, in recognition of his untiring, dedicated and loyal service to the Order, Mr. Samuel Mattock, Counsellor of the Embassy in Nairobi, was awarded the Officers’ Cross “Pro Merito Melitensi”. The Sovereign Council of the Order acknowledged Mr. Mattock’s steadfast commitment to the humanitarian activities of the Order and for being instrumental in creating the Companions of the Order who are assisting, inter alia, in the implementation of important health related projects especially in remote areas of Kenya.

Mr. Samuel Mattock received his decoration on 19 th September 2026 from H.E. Ambassador Wilhelm von Trott zu Solz in the presence of Companions of the Order attending a special fund raising event.
