On Sunday 3 rd December 2023, marking the memorial of St. Francis Xavier and on the occasion of a
pastoral visit to Malindi, His Excellency Archbishop Hubertus Van Megen, Apostolic Nuncio to Kenya and
South Sudan, on behalf of the Order of Malta handed over to Rev. Fr. Ambrose Muli, head of the
Secretariat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Malindi, representing His Lordship the Rt. Rev. Willybard
Lagho, Bishop of Malindi, a donation for the victims of the recent flooding of the coastal region of Kenya.
The local church will take care of reaching the most affected by the events, giving them some relief.
